Yes. You can build quotes, preview them, and print or save to PDF using your browser's built-in print function at no cost. The $29 upgrade adds branded templates, logo upload, quote history, and a client portal.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your business details are saved in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. If you clear your browser data, you will need to re-enter your details.
Are the hourly rates accurate?
The pre-filled rates are based on 2025-2026 averages from ServiceSeeking, HiPages, and ABS data. They are starting points - you should adjust them to match your actual rates and location.
How does the materials markup work?
You set a markup percentage for each material item (default 15-25%). The quote shows the base cost to you and the total charged to the client. This is standard industry practice to cover sourcing, delivery, and handling.
Can I use this for any trade?
Yes. While we have pre-filled rates and materials for common trades (plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter, tiler, builder, landscaper, HVAC), you can select "Other" and enter your own rates and items for any trade.
Is GST automatically calculated?
Yes. GST at 10% is automatically calculated on the total (labour + materials with markup + travel/call-out fee). If you are not registered for GST, the quote will still show the calculation - adjust as needed.
